FAQ

How much does 3D Printing cost?3D printed products can range anywhere from $10 to over $100. This depends on the materials used, the size of the object, post processing needed, and any other additional features that are requested. For most customers using PLA, products average around $25. Request a quote to learn more about how much your specific use case will cost.

How long does it take to print an object? This depends on the size and use cases for your product. Smaller objects will typically print faster than larger objects; however, if your product requires increased density, supports, and structural strength, the print will take longer. On average, for most of our customers, print time takes anywhere from 5-15 hours. Post processing time is not included.
-
What types of materials can you 3D print with? All of our products are made from sustainable Bioplastics, are 100% recyclable, and will biodegrade in landfills. Currently we offer printing with the following materials: PLA (Polylactic Acid)- Our cheapest and most common material, solid plastic with excellent durability and a wide range of colors. Perfect for most products. Light Weight PLA- Half the weight of regular PLA, LWPLA is used in applications where weight is important. Examples include: RC airplanes, track batons, etc. PETG (Polyethylene Terephthalate Glycol)- PETG is much stronger and more resilient than PLA, and with a much higher melting point. Great for tough projects where stress, temperature, or weather is a factor. TPU (Thermoplastic Polyurethane)- This material feels and acts like rubber. Capable of bending and retaining its shape, this elastic plastic can be used for applications requiring shock absorption or flexibility. CF (Carbon Fiber Filled Nylon)- Made with Carbon Fiber, this nylon material has high strength, high rigidity, high mechanical strength, wear resistance, chemical resistance and high temperature resistance. Best for industrial applications, this is our most expensive material.

Can I request a custom design to be 3D printed?Absolutely! Our design team will gladly work with you to determine what will be needed from you to turn your concept into a reality. Dimensions, use case, and desired features are important; customer sketches are encouraged. For customers who do not have a .stl or other 3D model file, a custom design fee of $10 will be added to the final price of your order.

What is post-processing?Post-processing is everything that happens to your product after it has been printed. This includes support removal, smoothing, painting (if requested), and assembly to other parts (if requested). Post-processing is done to ensure that your products are of the highest quality and will perform its intended function as great as possible.
